Kathleen is a licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT) with years of experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a variety of physical, emotional, and relational challenges. Kathleen started her career working for nonprofit agencies that helped a variety of rural, urban, and suburban  populations. She specializes in treating a variety of sexual challenges such as:

Academic Background

Kathleen earned her Master’s in Family Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University with a specialization for Sex Therapy.  Kathleen is currently enrolled in post-graduate training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family to continue her passion for learning and involvement with Systemic Family Therapy.

Theoretical Orientation

Kathleen values the therapeutic relationship with her clients and has an empathetic, humanistic approach while working collaboratively in achieving one’s personal and relational goals.  

Kathleen’s therapeutic approach is integrative as she pulls techniques and perspectives from a variety of systemic treatment approaches. Kathleen is culturally competent and adapts her approach to the diverse needs of each client, couple, and family. She utilizes an Intersystems Approach to fully understand her clients’ complexity (systems: biological, psychological, inter-relational, family of origin, culture) and how these systems dovetail with their presenting problem.  Kathleen aims to create self-awareness, openness and acceptance of one’s being while providing support and guidance for clients’ desired growth.

Kathleen is an active member of  The American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT) and the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT).
