In this webinar, Sari Cooper reviews the part of sex therapy known as the Sexual Status Examination, a cornerstone of sex therapy leader Helen Singer Kaplan’s technique in treating couples with sexual problems and/or dysfunctions. Described by Singer Kaplan as “the most important part of the diagnostic interview”, the sexual status assessment can help a therapist discover a great amount of formerly unexamined material that is critical to helping a couple with their sexual dilemma.
- Participants will be able to apply the sexual status evaluation when interviewing new clients who are being treated for sexual presenting problems.
- Participants will integrate their knowledge of this sex therapy assessment technique with psychodynamic, family systems and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy theory and practice.
To achieve Satisfactory Completion of the course, participants must have:
- Paid tuition fee
- Attended/viewed the entire seminar
- Completed an evaluation with material quiz (50% accuracy AASECT, 70% accuracy NYS) in order to receive continuing education credits.
